Welcome to the official DoorPartsExpress shipping policy. At DoorPartsExpress, we provide specialized factory-direct international logistics for industrial door automation hardware, safety light curtains, millimeter-wave radars, vehicle loop detectors, and access accessories.
Because our components are critical commercial electrical equipment, we do not utilize consumer-tier postal mail. All consignments are fulfilled via tier-1 global express couriers and dedicated logistics lines to guarantee cargo safety, swift transit, and regulatory compliance.
1. Delivery Methods, Tier-1 Couriers & Transit Times
- Primary Express Couriers: Standard orders are dispatched worldwide via DHL Express, FedEx, and UPS.
- Air Transit Timeline: Transit to primary destinations (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, European Union countries, and Australia) typically takes 5 to 7 business days following handover to the air hub.
- Special Air Lines (DDP / Delivered Duty Paid): Dedicated customs-cleared and tariff-inclusive lines are available upon request for qualifying territories. If your job site or company entity cannot handle import clearance, notify our logistics team prior to payment or dispatch to arrange DDP terms.
- Remote Areas & Contingencies: Remote delivery zones or severe weather contingencies may require an additional 1 to 2 business days.
2. Shipping Rates, Weight Calculation & Oversized Surcharges
- Base Express Rate (1–2 kg): Standard international courier delivery for small-footprint items (motion radars, loop detectors, receiver modules, and transmitters) starts at a baseline rate of $30.00 USD.
- Mandatory Oversized Cargo Surcharge (Light Curtains ≥ 1.0 Meter): International air couriers enforce strict linear-dimension surcharge brackets. All safety light curtain profiles with an extrusion length of 1.0 meter or greater (including 1.0m, 1.5m, 1.85m, 2.0m, and 2.5m models) incur a mandatory handling surcharge of $22.00 USD per consignment.
This rule applies to all CL-series (CL10, CL15, CL16, CL18, CL20, CL25) and CG-series optical arrays. - Heavy Freight & Pallet Cargo (Ocean/LCL): For wholesale distributor orders exceeding standard courier dimensions or weights, customized sea freight (LCL/FCL) or palletized air cargo manifests can be tailored. Contact support@doorpartsexpress.com with your Bill of Materials (BOM) for landed cost calculations.
3. Pre-Shipment Bench Testing & Dispatch Cadence
- Full Electrical & Optical Bench Testing: Prior to boxing, every unit undergoes strict functional quality control:
- Radar sensors undergo mmWave detection and relay switching checks.
- Vehicle loop detectors are tested across sensitivity steps.
- Safety light curtains are energized to confirm beam synchronization and LED diagnostic indicators (Green = normal / Red = beam obstructed).
- Dispatch Cadence: In-stock orders are bench-tested, packaged, and handed over to export logistics within 1 to 2 business days. Orders are processed and settled on a per-order basis to eliminate warehouse delays.
- Tracking Synchronization: Commercial tracking numbers (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) are generated and automatically emailed once the parcel is logged into the carrier’s primary outbound sorting hub.
4. Technical Packaging Standards & Industrial Protection
- Rigid Profile Packaging: Because light curtains utilize precision aluminum extrusion housings with optical lens filters, units up to 2.5 meters are packed inside heavy-duty rigid cylindrical cardboard tubes or impact-resistant foam-lined structural boxes to prevent bending or axial distortion during automated sorting.
- Wiring & Schematics Included: All optical sensors and radar units are supplied with factory-matched cables (including multi-core shielded copper cables with braid and foil shielding for noise immunity) and comprehensive wiring terminal schematics.
- Input Voltage Verification: Verify input power specifications before installation. Loop detectors and radars are available in distinct configurations (e.g., 12–24V AC/DC or 100–240V AC). Customers must ensure site electrical supply corresponds strictly to the ordered model.
5. Battery Regulations & Compliant Air Logistics
- Dry Battery Exclusion on Transmitters: To adhere to strict IATA international aviation safety protocols and prevent customs interception, handheld remote controls (e.g., LSK4, BR433, RB432 series) are shipped without 12V dry batteries. Standard compatible batteries must be procured locally upon delivery.
- USB-Powered Transponders: In-vehicle USB transponders (UR series) draw power directly from vehicle 5V USB ports and do not require auxiliary internal battery cells.
- Compliant Hazardous Declaration: Whenever integrated battery cells are specifically requested for high-volume custom production, shipments are declared and routed through specialized hazardous-materials air corridors.
6. Neutral Packaging & Customs Declarations (B2B Assurance)
- 100% Brand-Neutral Industrial Packaging: We cater directly to commercial door contractors, installers, and B2B system integrators. All parcels are dispatched in clean, unbranded neutral cartons without factory logos, domestic vendor phone numbers, or manufacturer markings.
- Commercial Invoices & Entity Matching: International airway bills and export invoices are handled through registered export trading logistics entities.
- Custom Tax & Header Requirements: If your corporate accounting department or local customs authority requires specific consignee headers, corporate registration codes, or EORI/VAT registration numbers printed on the commercial invoice, submit these credentials in the checkout order notes or contact support within 2 hours of payment.
7. Customs Duties, Import Clearance & Consignee Liability
- Standard Delivery Terms (DAP / DDU): Unless an optional DDP service has been explicitly agreed upon and contracted, all international express consignments are delivered under DAP (Delivered at Place) incoterms.
- Consignee Duties: The importer/buyer is legally responsible for clearing customs, responding to carrier inquiries for import documentation, and paying local import VAT, GST, customs tariffs, and brokerage fees where assessed.
- Refusal, Non-Compliance & Abandonment: If a package is rejected by the consignee, returned, or destroyed by destination customs due to unpaid duties, failure to provide import documentation, or invalid consignee contact details:
- All associated return freight, storage costs, and export/import duties will be deducted from any potential settlement.
- Original international courier shipping expenses cannot be refunded.
8. Receipt Inspection, Transit Damage & Defective Claims
- Outer Carton Inspection: Inspect outer packing tubes and cartons upon delivery. If physical crushing, bending, or puncturing is visible, demand that the courier delivery driver log an official damage exception, or refuse the damaged portion of the delivery.
- Reporting Window: Claims for missing hardware, transit damage, or factory DOA (Defective on Arrival) must be submitted to support@doorpartsexpress.com within 7 calendar days of delivery confirmation.
- Required Documentation: To process immediate express replacement dispatches, emails must contain:
- Commercial order number.
- Clear photographs of external courier labels, carton packaging, and serial stickers.
- Short video demonstrating the wiring connection, supply voltage input, and diagnostic LED status (e.g., flashing red error indicators).
