LD-100 & LD-102 Inductive Vehicle Loop Detector Overview
The LD-100 and LD-102 series single channel vehicle loop detectors utilize digital micro-controller technology to sense changes in magnetic inductance when metallic vehicles pass over ground-embedded loops. Engineered for parking barrier gates, commercial sliding doors, overhead high-speed doors, and automated toll systems, the detector delivers rapid vehicle detection and anti-crush safety protection.
Key Operational Advantages:
Ultra-Fast Response Time: 10ms to 90ms fast switching speed ensures immediate gate reaction to prevent barrier arm collisions.
Automatic Sensitivity Boost (ASB): Built-in logic filter maintains active detection when high-bed trucks or multi-axle trailers cross the sensing loop.
Real-Time Diagnostic LED: Dual LEDs indicate power status, vehicle presence, short circuits, and open-loop conditions in real time.
Industrial Grade Reliability: Operates stably in harsh environments from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F) with up to 95% non-condensing humidity.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & LED TROUBLESHOOTING
Q1: What do the faceplate LED indicators signify during operation?
A: Red LED indicates Power ON. Green LED indicates loop status: Solid ON = Vehicle detected; Slow Blinking = Loop short-circuit or insufficient coil turns; Fast Blinking = Open loop circuit or too many coil turns.
Q2: What should I do if the green LED indicator is blinking slowly?
A: A slow blinking green LED means the inductive loop has a short circuit or the number of turns is insufficient. Lower the operating frequency via DIP switches 9 & 10. If the frequency is still too high, you must add more wire turns to the ground loop.
Q3: What should I do if the green LED indicator is blinking rapidly?
A: A fast blinking green LED indicates an open-circuit loop fault or excessive wire turns. Increase the operating frequency via DIP switches 9 & 10. If the frequency is still too low, remove some turns from the loop coil.
Q4: How do I eliminate crosstalk interference between two adjacent loop detectors?
A: Keep the sensing loops spaced at least 2 meters apart. Set one detector unit to High Frequency (DIP 9 & 10 OFF) and the second unit to Low Frequency (DIP 9 & 10 ON) to avoid electromagnetic cross-talk.
Q5: Why does the detector not respond after I change the DIP switch settings?
A: The detector must be reset every time a configuration change is made to the DIP switches. Press the front RESET push button to apply and re-tune new settings.
